River Derwent  Some  sun. Not too much! The river Derwent is just behind our van. This is where it gets into the lake, and sometimes floods!

 Went around the town for market day. Bought some small hand towels and socks. Bargains! Had a Chinese take away from the Golden Hills. Very good! It seemed very poular and is only 10 minutes walk away ....

 Went into town for lunch.  Meal out at Brysons. Bought a large spanner and then back via booth’s to buy some supper and other essentials such as local cheese.  Cold but sunny so far today.  Caravan site

 Fish and Chips from s local takeaway.  Raining a bit today.   We are a few yards from the river Derwent that feeds the lake.  Sometimes it floods and they have to evacuate the site. Last time it was at 2 am  on Boxing Day. Hopefully we’ll be safe!

 Stopped at Tebay service station for some fuel.  Then on to the site in Keswick near Derwentwatet.  Our pitch is just overlooking the slope down to the lake.  Nice situation, though weather a bit dull in the evening. 

 A three hour drive by M43, M6 and M55 to Blackpool. Arrives at 1 p.m. to have lunch. Lovely Sunny weather. 

 Left home at about 1030 and refilled diesel at the A140 junction. Drive to the caravan and motor home site here.  Had to get the gas working which took sometime. Bought some food from Becketts farm just down the road, and more just relaxing!!!
